About The Position

Essential Duties and Responsibilities In this role you will be: Assist patients/residents with mobility, including walking, repositioning, transfers, and use of mobility aids (wheelchairs, walkers, canes, gait belts, lifts). Support safe transfers between bed, chair, wheelchair, toilet, and other surfaces using proper body mechanics and approved techniques. Monitor and report changes in mobility, strength, balance, or pain to nursing staff. Encourage patient independence and participation in mobility activities as appropriate. Follow individualized care plans and mobility protocols established by nursing or therapy staff. Ensure mobility equipment is clean, properly maintained, and used correctly. Maintain a safe environment to reduce fall risks. Provide respectful, compassionate care while preserving patient dignity and privacy. Accurately document mobility assistance and observations per facility policy. Collaborate with nurses, physical therapists, and other healthcare team members. QUALIFICATIONS Required: EDUCATION: High school graduate or equivalent EXPERIENCE: Experience assisting patients with mobility and transfers preferred. Knowledge of safe patient handling techniques and fall prevention. Ability to follow care plans and safety guidelines LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Two years of Nursing Assistant experience preferred or CNA certification (required). BLS certification required or obtained within 1 month of hire Shifts: Monday - Friday 9am - 530pm

Requirements

  • BLS certification required or obtained within 1 month of hire

Nice To Haves

  • Experience assisting patients with mobility and transfers preferred.
  • Two years of Nursing Assistant experience preferred
