About The Position

The Tray Line Assistant is responsible for assembling patient trays and assisting in the dish room between meal periods. This role involves reading printed tickets to ensure the corresponding items are on the tray, understanding diets and following instructions related to diet or allergy information, and filling bulk stock items. The position requires cleaning dishes, washing carts, changing chemicals, and putting dishes away between meals. Tray Line Assistants use an iPad to manage tray deliveries and ensure quality food compliance. The role demands physical stamina as it involves standing for long periods and performing various physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Reading printed tickets and ensuring the corresponding items are on the tray.
• Understanding diets and following instructions related to diet or allergy information.
• Filling bulk stock items, crates of milk, boxes of condiments, trays of food, and boxes of juice.
• Assisting with cleaning dishes, washing carts, changing chemicals, and putting dishes away between meals.
• Using an iPad to promote/demote trays through the tray monitor program and communicating with hosts when trays need delivered.
• Ensuring quality food and compliance with diets when the checker is not present on the tray line.
• Providing a high level of satisfaction as it relates to the presentation and accuracy of patient orders.
• Maintaining a clean and sanitized work environment.
