Requirements

• HS diploma required.
• Associate degree or higher preferred.
• Experience in a non-clinical acute care setting, hospital, dispatch center, or emergency medical services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receiving, evaluating, and coordinating ambulance transport requests.
• Making quick decisions and communicating effectively to ensure timely and appropriate medical transportation.
• Multi-tasking and handling stressful situations, including operations during weather events.
• Coordinating internal emergency and non-emergency transportation requests.
• Prioritizing resources and monitoring the status of ambulance resources.
• Maintaining related documentation and providing hospitals with updates.
• Ensuring compliance and supporting crews.
• Arranging emergency medical services and third-party ambulance resources as needed.
• Facilitating transport arrangements that match the patients' clinical needs.
