About The Position

The Patient Liaison at AdaptHealth is responsible for delivering medical equipment and supplies to patients, ensuring timely and professional service. This role involves customer service, insurance verification, and educating patients on equipment usage. The Patient Liaison also plays a key role in maintaining revenue from hospital orders and promoting AdaptHealth's services to healthcare professionals.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate Degree preferred.
• One year of work experience in healthcare, administrative, insurance, customer service, or management.
• Experience in DME, Diabetes, or Incontinence Sales is required.
• Valid and unrestricted driver's license in the state of residence.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with electronic tools for payment processing.
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance documentation and reimbursement guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Deliver medical equipment and supplies to patients in a timely and professional manner.
• Educate patients and caregivers on the use of equipment and answer inquiries about services.
• Initiate verification of patient insurance benefits and communicate financial responsibilities to patients.
• Maintain and increase revenue from hospital/facility orders.
• Fulfill equipment orders ensuring cleanliness and proper working order.
• Conduct sales and service rounds within assigned hospitals to promote products and services.
• Document delivery details and troubleshoot equipment issues as needed.
• Coordinate with other departments to minimize delivery expenses and provide efficient service.
