About The Position

We are looking for a compassionate, caring and dedicated Patient Intake Specialist I ED to join our team and help us continue our tradition of excellence. This position is responsible for greeting, registering, collecting payments from and directing/escorting patients in compliance with applicable State and Federal regulations and hospital policies and procedures. Is an ambassador of Deaconess, cultivating a nurturing atmosphere of courtesy, respect, empathy, dignity and optimism.

Requirements

• Completion of High School or GED required.
• Knowledge of health care revenue cycle preferred.
• Understanding of insurance is a plus.

Nice To Haves

• College degree desired.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients upon arrival.
• Collect payments from patients as required.
• Direct and escort patients to appropriate areas within the facility.
• Ensure compliance with applicable State and Federal regulations and hospital policies and procedures.
