About The Position

The position involves assisting patients with the menu selection process to ensure they receive appropriate nutrition-related items. The role includes interacting with patients to collect food selections, entering these selections into the computer system, and verifying proper dietetic physician orders. Requirements

• Minimum High school diploma, GED or working towards completion
• Preferred three months to one year of food and nutrition experience

Responsibilities

• Interacts with patients to collect appropriate food selection and enters selections into the computer system while verifying dietetic physician orders (45%)
• Utilizes proper food handling and food storage techniques when assembling patient trays and managing food inventory (35%)
• Delivers and retrieves food carts, ensuring patient trays are delivered according to the delivery schedule (15%)
• Maintains and assembles the floor stock (5%)
• Performs all other duties as assigned
