This is an excellent opportunity for an energetic, early‑career leader looking to grow within the healthcare food service industry. The Supervisor supports daily patient meal service, staff leadership, and overall patient satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of food service experience.
  • Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, healthcare, or similar foodservice environments.
  • Working knowledge of food trends, quality standards, production processes, sanitation, and cost controls.
  • Demonstrated supervisory, leadership, and coaching abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to interact effectively with staff, management, clients, customers, and clinical partners.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and general computer literacy.
  • ServSafe Certification preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • ServSafe certification preferred; must be obtained within 60 days of hire if not already certified.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure patient and client satisfaction by meeting—and exceeding—service expectations.
  • Provide appropriate menu alternatives based on prescribed diets, allergies, intolerances, and cultural, ethnic, or religious preferences.
  • Collaborate daily with nursing staff to evaluate patient meal selections, tray accuracy, delivery timeliness, and tray retrieval processes.
  • Address and resolve patient concerns or escalate them to leadership as needed.
  • Support all foodservice operations including patient meal assembly, delivery, sanitation, infection control, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Supervise daily workflow and uphold all safety and compliance standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
