About The Position

The Patient Flow Specialist Supervisor at NYP Transfer Center is responsible for overseeing a growing team that collaborates with various disciplines throughout NYP hospital to coordinate the transfer of patients both domestically and internationally. The supervisor will work collaboratively with all members of the team of the assigned center and units to ensure high-level patient care and optimal physician and patient satisfaction. This role includes supervising the NYP Transfer Center in directing, prioritizing, and implementing innovative approaches to patient movement. The supervisor will also provide administrative coverage for the NYP Transfer Center, oversee transfers facilitated by the center, participate in data review and quality improvement projects, and serve as a resource for the NYP Transfer Center. This position represents NYP Values in Action.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 - 5 years in a managerial or leadership role (e.g., previous supervisor or charge nurse).
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing or equivalent.
• Registered Nurse with NYS License.
