Requirements

• Minimum Education: HS diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum Experience: 8 years of extensive experience in revenue cycle, focusing on hospital inpatient/outpatient billing and coding required.
• Experience with billing software such as Epic, Cerner, or similar systems.
• Knowledge of payer-specific contract terms and payment methodologies.
• Understanding of patient financial assistance programs and their impact on account management.
• In-depth knowledge of ICD, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
• Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance billing and regulations.
• Proficiency in medical billing software and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the daily activities of the Patient Financial Services department through effective use of information technology systems.
• Plan, implement, document, write reports, analyze data, and maintain systems.
• Utilize system analysis skills, query tools, and system definition tools to ensure financial systems run efficiently.
• Perform system setup, installation, testing, troubleshooting, and user training.
• Identify and resolve issues related to financial systems modules.
