About The Position

Community Medical Center, Falls City, Nebraska is seeking a Patient Financial Counselor. This position will initiate financial counseling process with all patients prior to treatment, which includes patient financial obligations, billing practices, and establishing payment arrangements, to include communicating down payment, deductible, and co-pay requirements with patients. The individual will help patients seek financial resources and payment options, if needed. This position will also research and follow up with self-pay accounts to ensure timely payments are made. The ideal candidate will have two years’ experience working in hospital services access, clinical service access, physician office, or billing and collections. Or, an Associate’s degree in a healthcare-related field and one year of experience working with the public. Candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills, the ability to analyze data, and work independently on multiple tasks and problem-solve to obtain the best financial outcome for CMC’s patients.
