About The Position

We are hiring a Patient & Family Concierge (PFC) for our Emergency Department to support patient throughput and unit operations in a fast‑paced environment. This position offers variable scheduling with a strong focus on weekday 12‑hour shifts, with start times of 7a, 10a, 3p, or 7p. Days worked are variable with rotating weekends and rotating holidays; no on‑call, floating, or travel required. Candidates who meet the minimum qualifications will be considered.

Requirements

  • Must have the desire, drive, and compassion needed to provide an exceptional patient and family experience at all times.
  • High School diploma OR active High School/GED program enrollment OR one year of previous job experience required in lieu of HS Diploma/GED.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in health care or customer service is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome and escort patients and visitors to correct locations.
  • Provide hospital info and issue parking passes and scooters.
  • Track patient belongings at admission.
  • Clean and organize patient rooms and public areas.
  • Restock supplies and change linens.
  • Report maintenance issues.
  • Prepare and serve meals per dietary orders.
  • Deliver trays and confirm patient identity.
  • Safely transport patients, equipment, and specimens.
  • Disinfect and inspect transport equipment.
  • Set up, sanitize, and test telehealth carts.
  • Order and stock unit supplies and equipment.
  • Monitor inventory, expiration dates, and temperature logs.
  • Answer phones, respond to call lights, and assist patients.
  • Follow safety protocols and report incidents.
  • Performs in accordance with all other system-wide competencies/behaviors.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
