About The Position
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Patient Escort to support patient transportation within a healthcare facility. This role is essential in ensuring patients are moved safely and efficiently for procedures, tests, admissions, and discharges while maintaining comfort and dignity.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- BLS (CPR) Certification required
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a healthcare setting (hospital or clinic preferred)
- Ability to safely lift, push, and transport patients
- Strong English communication skills (reading, writing, and speaking)
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
Nice To Haves
- Experience as a Patient Transporter, CNA, Hospital Aide, or similar role
- Prior experience in a hospital or acute care environment
Responsibilities
- Transport patients via wheelchair, stretcher, or hospital bed to designated areas
- Assist with safe patient transfers between beds, wheelchairs, and stretchers
- Ensure patient comfort, dignity, and safety during all transport activities
- Follow infection control and patient handling protocols
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff and other departments
- Maintain timely and efficient patient movement in a fast-paced environment
- Adhere to facility policies and safety standards
