The Department of Patient Transportation at MD Anderson Cancer Center is an essential partner in delivering compassionate, timely, and efficient mobility services throughout the institution. Our team ensures that every patient experiences smooth, professional, and supportive transitions between appointments, procedures, and care areas. By upholding the highest standards of service, we directly contribute to the hospital’s mission to eliminate cancer through exceptional patient care. The primary purpose of the Patient Escort position is to safely and efficiently transport patients, specimens, medical records/films, and shrouded bodies of deceased patients throughout the institution. This role is also responsible for rounding up and maintaining departmental equipment. Patient Escorts are expected to consistently demonstrate professional conduct and provide courteous, compassionate customer service always. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of healthcare or customer service experience. The first six weeks of employment will consist of mandatory daytime training, which must be completed as scheduled. The training schedule may vary. Operational Shift: 2:45pm - 11:15pm
