The Patient Engagement Pharmacist is responsible for providing direct patient care services including but not limited to drug regimen review, disease state management, medication counseling, adherence monitoring, prescription dispensing, and patient financial assistance. The Patient Engagement Pharmacist must be proficient with all steps of prescription processing workflows including prescription order entry, insurance processing, clinical review, and patient outreach to coordinate prescription fulfillment and delivery. The Patient Engagement Pharmacist works in a large volume centralized specialty and mail order pharmacy call center setting, functioning in a multi-skilled environment which requires the application of teamwork, leadership, and flexibility. This position will require collaboration with the central pharmacy dispensing team to coordinate services and will have a high degree of interaction with patients and caregivers. The Patient Engagement Pharmacist is a subject matter expert in medication processing, third party billing, medication synchronization, troubleshooting and resolving complex problems. The Patient Engagement Pharmacist assists the Manager, Central Specialty & Mail Fulfillment with the operational supervision of the central call center pharmacy workflow including pharmacy operations, pharmacist and technician training, and competency development.
