Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Microsoft Office and Windows-based computer skills required.
  • Working knowledge of office filing, scanning procedures, medical terminology and human service skills preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Interviews clients through direct or indirect contact with the client's families or representative to obtain required information, completing initial applications, verifying the information obtained, determining eligibility or completing schedule.
  • Schedules appointments/follow-up calls to obtain all data concerning the clients' family composition, financial, employment and health status.
  • Provides information to clients on program requirements based upon the information provided by the drug companies and poverty guidelines.
  • Mails appointment confirmation sheet, appointment reminder postcards and denial/incomplete letters to clients that did not complete the interview process required.
  • Calls or faxes organizations to assist potential clients in collecting required documentation.
  • Completes recertification process on a yearly basis which consists of notifying the client of required financial documentation, collecting financial documentation and scanning information into the database.
  • Assists clients who are not eligible in finding other resources.
  • Updates the eligibility status with any concerns or issues that may arise.
