Patient Driver This position is responsible for providing safe transportation to participants in a timely, competent manner, and for communicating important information relevant to the overall care plan to the multidisciplinary team. The position is critical to setting the tone and desired experience that Covenant expects for each participant on outings and other appointments. Please note the following important details regarding this position: This posting includes multiple openings for a Patient Driver Available Shifts: Per Diem/On Call, Variable This is an onsite position, requiring daily attendance at the designated location. Candidates must reside within commutable distance of the following office location: Texas: Lubbock Flexibility to work a day, evening or night shift as scheduled Must be available to work weekends and holidays as scheduled, based on operational and departmental requirements. Positions specified as “on call/per diem” refer to employment consisting of shifts scheduled on an “as needed basis” to fill in for staff vacancies

Requirements

• HS Diploma -OR- GED Equivalency
• Within 90 days of hire: Coursework/Training: Successful completion of defensive driving and passenger assistance training courses.
• Must comply with applicable state laws regarding minimum age and/or driving experience.
• Driving may be necessary as part of this role. Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving. Caregivers will be expected to provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request.
