About The Position

Provide non-emergency transportation to St. Catherine's Village's residents to on and off campus outings and errands. Also required to perform on-call duties as agreed upon in the pre-determined schedule. Reports to the Operations Coordinator.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One year of experience as a driver, preferably in a health care setting.
  • Valid stated driver's license with clean driving record.
  • The required Village dress code is to be followed.
  • A self-provided uniform is worn according to dress code; good personal hygiene and good grooming are required; extremes in hair style, jewelry and dress are avoided. Nails are to be closely trimmed. Perfumes are kept to a minimum. A professional appearance is maintained at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Participates as an active member of the Village team in supporting the mission, values and philosophy of the Village.
  • Providing safe, reliable, courteous and efficient transportation service for our residents to on-and-off-campus outings and errands
  • Preparing the bus for operation, and coordinating necessary vehicle maintenance
  • Taking the initiative to ensure resident safety and satisfaction is a priority
  • Follows Village and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Understands role in the Village fire, safety and disaster programs.
  • Respects residents' rights and individual dignity.
  • Maintains pleasant, professional conduct with residents, family members and visitors.
  • Transports residents to and from shopping centers, doctors/dentist special events, etc.
  • Checks Village owned vehicles for proper operation and maintenance.
  • Ensures the interior and exterior of vehicles are kept clean and presentable at all times.
  • Runs errands and delivers messages.
  • Transports residents on trips.
  • Assisting with room set-ups for special events Maintains daily concierge and vehicular logs
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Must possess sight/hearing senses, or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
  • Must be able to relate to residents and all customers in a courteous and diplomatic manner under all circumstances.
  • Must not have any health conditions that prevent meeting the requirements of this position (e.g., allergies that prevent outside work during certain times of the year).
