About The Position

Responsible for patient food service on assigned unit: e.g. menu selections, tray assembly, tray delivery and pick up, special requests and needs, in-between meal food delivery.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Two years of food service/customer service experience required.
• Knowledge of menu editing or diet modification desirable.
• On-the-job training provided.
• Must be knowledgeable in basic computer skills.
• Must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Must be able to communicate and cooperate with all hospital personnel in every conceivable circumstance.
• Possess necessary skills to effectively operate hospitals admission, discharge and transfer (ADT) system and other computer-based systems, which manage patient-care records.
• Must be able to handle direct patient contact.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of menu editing or diet modification desirable.
