About The Position

Morrison Healthcare is hiring immediately for a full time PATIENT DINING ASSOCIATE DIETARY AIDE position at Central State Hospital in Louisville, KY. This role involves working on assigned units in a healthcare facility, providing services that include helping patients make menu selections, assembling, delivering, and picking up meal trays. The position requires alternating morning and evening shifts throughout the week, with the necessity to work every other weekend. The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00 per hour. Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience required.
• Ability to read, write, and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand their menu selections and ensure orders comply with nutritional requirements.
• Work with caregivers and culinary team to determine menu alternatives for patients with food allergies, sensitivities, or cultural preferences.
• Manage tray tickets and assemble meals according to each patient's menu selection in a timely manner.
• Retrieve trays from patient rooms at assigned times.
• Comply with regulatory agency standards, including federal, state, and JCAHO.
• Adhere to facility confidentiality and HIPAA policies.
• Follow HACCP guidelines when handling food and cleaning work stations.
• Assist dietitians in monitoring patients on liquid diets or specific calorie counts.
• Communicate problems or concerns with patients to appropriate personnel.
• Complete daily, weekly, or monthly reports as outlined in Morrison Healthcare policies.
• Comply with health and sanitation regulations.
