About The Position

At Physical Therapy Today, the Patient Coordinator is integral in bridging patient care with administrative excellence. This role serves as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring they receive the highest quality service from the moment they arrive. The Patient Coordinator will provide outstanding customer service, coordinate patient appointments, verify insurance, and handle referrals. They are also responsible for maintaining and updating patient records with accuracy and confidentiality, assisting with front desk operations, answering phone calls, and managing inquiries. This position involves working closely with clinicians and administrative staff to enhance the patient experience and ensure a welcoming and organized clinic environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a healthcare or medical office setting
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems and basic computer skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
  • Proficient in using office software and electronic health records (EHR) systems

Nice To Haves

  • Additional education in healthcare administration is a plus
