The primary role of the Patient Coordinator is to provide a high-quality patient experience by welcoming and communicating with patients, ensuring an efficient patient flow, and facilitating a flawless patient transition throughout the eye care experience. This involves prioritizing patient satisfaction, accurately documenting patient information, updating records, collecting payments, handling patient correspondences via telephone, email, and fax, maintaining secure and confidential patient files, coordinating and confirming appointments, preparing charts, and performing various confidential administrative functions such as assembling reports and transmitting patient information to outside agencies. The role also requires maintaining an organized front desk and front entry.
