About The Position

The Patient Coordinator/Technologist Assistant position is available for multiple locations in Northeast Tennessee and Virginia. This role can be full-time, part-time, or PRN. The primary responsibilities include greeting, transporting, and screening patients in preparation for exams, assisting with patient transfers, and obtaining accurate patient histories. The assistant will also interact with site staff to obtain necessary paperwork and supplies, deliver paperwork to radiologists, and assist technologists with data entry and supply ordering. The position requires the ability to drive up to 2 hours away, with compensation for mileage and travel time.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
• Minimum 6 months-1 year related experience and/or training in a clinical setting; phlebotomy experience preferred
• Current American Heart Association (Basic Life Support) certification
• Vaccinations current including COVID-19
• Able and willing to drive, up to 2 hours away

Nice To Haves

• Phlebotomy experience
• BLS Certification

Responsibilities

• Greeting, transporting and screening patients in preparation for exam
• Assisting patient transfer to and from mobile coach, on and off scan table and dismissal upon exam completion
• Obtaining accurate patient history and explaining total exam process to patient
• Assisting in administering preliminary and post exam instructions and answering questions related to the exam procedure
• Interacting with site staff to obtain paperwork and supplies as needed
• Delivering paperwork to radiologist and/or admin staff post scan
• Obtaining blood glucose level and setting an IV as directed
• Assisting technologist with data entry for patient data sheet, Biodose, end of day reports and supply ordering
• Interacting with managers, registration clerk, directors and radiologist for effective communication
• Submitting paperwork to client indicated
• Cleaning unit and preparing for transport as directed
