About The Position
The Patient Companion/Transporter will support the care of individuals who require full 24-hour observation for their safety. In this role, the employee will support a work environment that promotes safety for patients, staff, and customers. Responsibilities include reporting safety concerns or defective equipment, maintaining awareness of safety at all times, and providing continuous observation of assigned patients to promote safety and prevention of injury. The employee will also collect and report data about the patient/family as directed by the Registered Nurse, remain alert for changes related to patient safety, and promptly call for assistance as needed.
