About The Position
The Nursing Resource Pool at Trinity Health Ann Arbor is seeking Patient Companions (sitters, attendants) to perform specific patient care activities as assigned by the patient's RN, considering age-specific, developmental, cultural, and spiritual needs. Patient Companions will be responsible for ensuring that patients are never unattended by remaining with and observing the assigned patient at all times. They will assist with various tasks such as setting up food trays, assisting with basic hygiene needs, offering fluids, accompanying patients on walks, and providing diversionary activities. Companions will also be involved in replacing nasal cannulas and re-applying intermittent compression devices (ICDs or SCDs).
