Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Provides continuous observation and surveillance of assigned patients.
• Summons the nursing staff if the patient requires assistance, control or other nursing intervention.
• Knowledgeable and supportive of patients, the confidentiality of HIPAA protected information, and other related hospital policies.
• Follows suicide protection policy
• Assist RN and assistive staff as directed within scope of job description including ADLs (feeding, oral care, bathing, and toileting).
• Contact RN with signs of pain or change in patient condition.
• Follow "Fall Risk" precautions.
