The Patient Care Unit Technician is an integral part of the Patient Care Delivery Team, providing essential support to healthcare providers within the hospital. This role serves as the unit's central point for administration, information, and communication during an assigned shift. Key responsibilities include assisting with patient care, such as data collection, transportation, nutrition, and comfort, all under direct supervision. The technician is also responsible for maintaining clerical organization within the unit and monitoring admissions, including follow-up notifications. The position emphasizes participation in fostering a safe, patient-centered care environment, ensuring quality patient care delivery, efficient patient flow, and effective communication among the healthcare team.
