Patient Care Technician, Acute Surgical Unit
About The Position
Northside Hospital is an award-winning, state-of-the-art, and continually growing healthcare provider. The Patient Care Technician provides essential nursing assistance and direct patient care, focusing on ensuring the comfort, safety, and personal needs of patients. This role involves assisting patients with activities of daily living and performing procedures related to physical hygiene and comfort. The technician is expected to perform duties as part of a unit-based, self-directed patient care team, collaborating and sharing various tasks with both licensed and non-licensed team members.
Requirements
- Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Certified Nursing Assistant on the Georgia Registry
- Certified Medical Assistant awarded by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
- Registered Medical Assistant awarded by the American Medical Technologists (AMT)
- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant awarded by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
- One (1) year of patient care experience, as a CNA, PCT, Military Medic, ED Tech or other relevant acute, direct patient care experience.
