About The Position

DaVita is seeking a Patient Care Technician to provide hands-on dialysis care in a hospital setting. No dialysis experience is required, only a passion for helping others. The company provides paid training and opportunities to grow a career in healthcare. This role involves delivering one-on-one dialysis care to patients with kidney disease, monitoring and recording vital signs, setting up dialysis machines, and observing treatment. The technician will support patients physically and emotionally throughout their care, educate them on dialysis-related topics, and collaborate with a care team including nurses, dietitians, social workers, and other members. Requirements

  • Accredited High School diploma, general education development (“GED”) credential, or equivalent
  • Comfort working with blood, needles, and medical equipment
  • Willingness to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical stamina for long shifts (up to 12+ hours)
  • Flexibility to float between facilities as needed
  • Full vaccination against COVID-19 may be required by hospitals in this program, which may include a booster when eligible

Nice To Haves

  • Previous healthcare experience a plus (CNA, MA, Phlebotomy, CHT, BONENT certified)

Responsibilities

  • Deliver one-on-one dialysis care to patients with kidney disease
  • Monitor and record vital signs, set up dialysis machines, and observe treatment
  • Support patients physically and emotionally throughout their care
