About The Position

Join Our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit as a Patient Care Technician Make a difference in the lives of children and their families by joining the Blank Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) team. Our 12-bed unit provides specialized care for patients from birth to age 17 in a family-centered environment. As a Patient Care Tech, you’ll work under the supervision of an RN to deliver compassionate, hands-on care—supporting activities of daily living, mobility, specimen collection, and respiratory support. Schedule: Full-Time Nights, 32 hours/week Your role is essential in ensuring comfort, safety, and quality care for our youngest patients. Requirements

  • CNA certification preferred
  • Valid driver's license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons
  • Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain certification within three (3) months from date of hire.
  • Eighteen (18) years of age or older
  • Level 3 Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently , and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Nice To Haves

  • CNA certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • PCTs will perform patient care and treatments under supervision of a RN.
  • Provides and documents care including, but not limited to, activities of daily living, mobility, specimen collection and respiratory support activities as directed by the RN.
  • Possess the ability to lift, move, position and transport patients.
  • Demonstrates the ability to meet the department work schedule.
  • Demonstrates initiative to improve quality of care, patient and employee safety, and customer service.
  • Team members under the age of 18 may not independently operate mechanical lift equipment.
