About The Position

Baystate Health, a nationally recognized leader in healthcare quality and safety, and home to Baystate Medical Center (BMC), is looking for a Part-Time Patient Care Technician to join our Intercare team in Springfield, MA. SCHEDULE: Part Time, 24 hours a week Nights, 7pm-7:30am Rotating Holidays and Weekends Daly 6B – Medical Intercare Unit Daly 6B is a dedicated, close-knit group with an engaged leadership team all with strong clinical backgrounds and a dedicated medical director both devoted to professional growth and development. Care for a broad patient population and perfect your skills with 21 intercare beds and 21 acute care beds, great nursing ratios, and optimal support staff. RESPONSIBILITIES: Baystate Health, Patient Care Technicians (PCT) play a hands-on role in delivering compassionate, high-quality care alongside our nursing team. Under the supervision of an RN, you'll assist with direct patient care, including hygiene, mobility, and vital sign monitoring. PCT’s perform a range of clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, EKGs, specimen collection, and Point of Care testing. This role also includes assisting with procedures, patient transport, equipment management, and supporting emergency response protocols. Requirements

PCT training or CNA training, preferred
BLS CPR Certification through American Heart Association, required
High School diploma or GED
at least one year of patient care experience (this experience can vary in level of long-term care, specialty, acute care, etc.)
Three or more years of patient care experience (this experience can vary in level of long-term care, specialty, acute care, etc.) experience OR at least one year as a level II PCT at Baystate Health
4 or more years of Acute or specialty-specific care setting experience OR at least one year as a level III PCT at Baystate Health
