About The Position

Community Bridges, Inc. (CBI) is an integrated behavioral healthcare agency offering a variety of different programs throughout Arizona, including residential, outpatient, inpatient, patient-centered medical homes, medication-assisted treatment, and crisis services. CBI serves individuals experiencing crisis, opioid use disorder, homelessness, and mental illness, and is recognized as a premiere non-profit provider of substance use and behavioral health programs in Arizona, utilizing cutting-edge, evidence-based models. The Patient Care Technician (PCT) is an integral member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team, providing direct care to behavioral health patients under the medical direction of a Registered Nurse (RN). The primary focus of the PCT is direct patient care, as directed and delegated by the RN, Lead PCT, Operation Supervisor, Operations Administrator, or Program Manager. Additionally, the PCT is responsible for ensuring the safety of their assigned unit, which includes identifying environmental and patient-specific safety concerns and escalating these concerns to the appropriate personnel such as the RN, RN Manager, Operations Supervisor, or designee.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 6 months of health care related experience where prior experience would provide adequate exposure to both behavioral and medical crisis situations

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree or higher
  • Minimum of six months of recovery from substance use and/or mental health disorders

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care as directed and delegated by the RN, Lead PCT, Operation Supervisor, Operations Administrator, or Program Manager
  • Ensure the safety of the unit they are assigned to
  • Identify environmental and patient specific safety concerns
  • Elevate safety concerns to the RN, RN Manager, Operations Supervisor, or designee as needed
