Patient Care Technician
About The Position
Northside Hospital is award-winning, state-of-the-art, and continually growing, constantly expanding the quality and reach of its care to patients and communities. The Patient Care Technician provides nursing assistance and patient care to ensure the comfort, safety, and personal needs of patients. This role involves assisting patients with activities of daily living and performing procedures for physical hygiene and comfort. Duties are performed within a unit-based, self-directed patient care team, sharing various tasks with other licensed and non-licensed members.
Requirements
- Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Certified Nursing Assistant on the Georgia Registry
- OR Certified Medical Assistant awarded by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
- OR Registered Medical Assistant awarded by the American Medical Technologists (AMT)
- OR Certified Clinical Medical Assistant awarded by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
- One (1) year of patient care experience, as a CNA, PCT, Military Medic, ED Tech or other relevant acute, direct patient care experience
