About The Position

The primary purpose of the Patient Care Technician (Certified) position is to be responsible for the delivery of safe, quality patient/family focused care and services under the direction of a Professional Registered Nurse. The Patient Care Technician (Certified) is a member of a designated care team and collaborates with team members in achieving goals. Patient care is provided congruent with the patient/family developmental stage and cultural expectations.

Requirements

  • Certified as a Patient Care Technician by National Healthcareer Association (NHA) or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and write English.
  • Ability to lift/move patients with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Effective interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to organize the activities of multiple patients.
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • CPR/BLS Certified.
  • Required skills include phlebotomy, EKG and any other skills and abilities needed.
