DaVita is seeking a Patient Care Technician to make a difference in the lives of patients and their families dealing with end-stage renal failure or chronic kidney disease. No prior dialysis experience is required, as the role includes 9-12 weeks of paid training, which may occur in a facility or training clinic different from the assigned home clinic. The position requires a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with shifts starting as early as 4:00 AM. Responsibilities involve direct one-on-one patient care, providing safe, comfortable, and hygienic dialysis treatment, and educating patients on kidney disease. Technicians will monitor patients before, during, and after dialysis, including measuring and recording stats, making patient observations, and setting up hemodialysis machines. The role involves exposure to blood and needles. Patient Care Technicians work as part of a cross-functional team of clinicians, including nurses, dietitians, social workers, and leadership, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).
