About The Position

Perform basic clinical and non-clinical patient care activities under supervision in assigned area. Aid with entry and exit of patients. Assist patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living. Report findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff. Document necessary records. Responsible for keeping patient rooms clean and orderly as well as maintaining medical equipment. 7 East is a 32 bed Medical/Surgical Unit that specializes in Neurology & Neurosurgery as well as Orthopedics. Diagnoses for our specialties include: Stroke, Traumatic Brain Injury, Epilepsy & Seizures, brain & spinal procedures, and various orthopedic post-surgical patients. In addition to our specialties, we care for general Med/Surg patients with diagnoses such as AKI, ETOH/Opioid Withdrawal, AMS/Falls, Sepsis, DKA, & CHF! This unit is an excellent learning opportunity for new graduates and seasoned nurses alike looking to further their knowledge and clinical skills in Med/Surg with Neuro/Ortho specialties. Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Nurse Aide credentialed from the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Certified Nursing Assistant credentialed from the state of Wisconsin, and in Nurse Aide Registry with eligibility to work in a hospital setting obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Additional certs may be required by specific job locations.
High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
