Patient Care Technician
About The Position
USPI Texas Orthopedics Surgery Center in Austin is seeking a motivated Patient Care Tech to join their team. The center has 5 OR rooms and 1 Procedure room, performing outpatient surgical procedures in Orthopedics. The Patient Care Tech provides direct patient care, assisting patients with changing linens, ambulation, and transport. They maintain a clean and orderly patient care environment, assist during patient examinations and procedures, obtain and record patient vital signs, provide nutritional intake, and report results and observations. The role's primary goal is to efficiently provide surgical and/or procedural services that exceed customer expectations and improve clinical and financial operations.
Responsibilities
- Provides direct patient care by assisting patients with changing linens, ambulation, and transport
- Maintains a clean and orderly patient care environment
- Assists during patient examinations and procedures
- Obtains and records patient vital signs
- Provides nutritional intake and reports results and observations
