Make a real difference in patients’ lives. DaVita is seeking a Patient Care Technician to provide hands-on dialysis care in a hospital setting. No dialysis experience required—just a passion for helping others. We provide paid training and opportunities to grow your career in healthcare. Some Details About This Position: This position will support our dialysis program at Bridgeport Hospital, Griffin Hospital, Milford IRU Hospital, and St. Vincent's Hospital Schedule: 3-4 days per week, includes every other Saturday Shift: 6:15am start time

Requirements

• Accredited High School diploma, general education development (“GED”) credential, or equivalent
• Comfort working with blood, needles, and medical equipment
• Willingness to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Physical stamina for long shifts (up to 12+ hours)
• Flexibility to float between facilities as needed
• Full vaccination against COVID-19 may be required by hospitals in this program, which may include a booster when eligible.

Nice To Haves

• Previous healthcare experience a plus (CNA, MA, Phlebotomy, CHT, BONENT certified)

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-on-one dialysis care to patients with kidney disease
• Monitor and record vital signs, set up dialysis machines, and observe treatment
• Support patients physically and emotionally throughout their care
• Educate patients on dialysis-related topics
• Collaborate with nurses, dietitians, social workers, and other care team members
