About The Position

The Patient Care Technician takes direction from the registered nurse. The main functions are to maintain a safe, clean environment in patient rooms and service areas, assist licensed personnel with basic patient needs, and monitor health and vital signs.

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Previous experience as a nurse aide/residential aide/patient aide with experience in supporting patients’ activities of daily living and vital signs OR Completion of a nurse aide, multi-skilled tech or patient care tech course(s) OR Completion of one clinical semester in an LPN/RN program
• Current American Heart Association BLS required
• Welle Training (computer and classroom) within six months of hire

Nice To Haves

• Certified Nurse’s Aide license or Patient Care Technician certification preferred
