Patient Care Technician - Emergency Department - Night Shift
About The Position
12 hour Night shift which includes working every other weekend and a holiday rotation INITIAL TRAINING IS DURING THE DAY SHIFT POSITION TITLE: Patient Care Technician MISSION STATEMENT: We, St Joseph's Health and Trinity Health, serve together in the spirit of the Gospel as a compassionate and transforming healing presence within our communities. POSITION SUMMARY: Delivers direct patient care in collaboration with the Registered Nurse. Performs tasks that do not require nursing judgements or administration of medications. Duties include, but not limited to: Phlebotomy and EKG. Is accountable for the patient care they deliver. Adheres to St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center standards of care and practice.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Basic computer skills required
- Participates in orientation and continuing education and updates and maintains knowledge and skills related to specific areas of expertise.
- Completes population specific competency annually on populations served as identified in scope of care and service.
- Current BLS/CPR certification and First Aid training provided upon hire

- Medical background, mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity preferred.
