About The Position

A busy acute -care facility is seeking a compassionate and dependable Patient Care Technician</b> to join its nursing support team. In this role, you will provide hands -on support to patients, assist the clinical team, and help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• MediClear Certification (or equivalent HIPAA compliance certificate) required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS/BLS) – or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Previous experience as a Patient Care Technician, Nursing Assistant, or similar direct patient care role preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a patient -centered, team -oriented mindset.
• Ability to work in a fast -paced hospital environment and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and positioning to support procedures and recovery.
• Provide basic, non -medicated patient care such as hygiene support, dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices.
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff promptly.
• Keep patient rooms, hallways, and common areas clean, organized, and well -stocked.
• Manage supplies, equipment, and environmental logs to support infection control and safety.
• Communicate respectfully and clearly with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
