About The Position

Patient Care Technician - Pre-Admit at Providence. St. Vincent Medical Center. This is a Part-Time (0.5 FTE) Day Shift position. This is a Temporary position. Works closely with all members of the team to provide direct patient care to optimize positive patient care outcomes. Works independently and assists the registered nurse/nurse practitioner during clinic visits by providing the appropriate procedures. Providence caregivers are not simply valued – they’re invaluable. Requirements

• Coursework/Training: For hires after 07/26/2023: Completion of a MA program (not required to maintain certification after hire), Or Completion of first semester nursing program, Or EMT program completion (not required to maintain certification after hire) Or equivalent education/experience
• 1 year of acute patient care experience, Or 6 months experience in a direct patient care environment in providing clerical support related to Provider or Patient documentation or charting.
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• Experience with basic data entry.
• 6 months Phlebotomy skills. Must be proficient.
