Parkview Behavioral Health, located at 1720 Beacon Street, consists of four adult units totaling 55 beds and one youth unit with 34 beds. The adult units serve individuals aged 18 and older, while the youth unit admits patients between the ages of 5 and 17. All admissions are for acute inpatient care, with typical stays ranging from three to seven days. At Parkview Behavioral Health, we are responsible for managing a diverse range of psychiatric diagnoses, including Major Depressive Disorder, Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorder, Schizoaffective Disorder, Schizophrenia, Substance Use Disorder, and Bipolar Disorder. The behavioral health team embraces a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to care, providing nurses the opportunity to work closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, social workers, therapists, and behavioral health specialists. The primary objective of each inpatient stay is to stabilize patients experiencing a psychiatric crisis and equip them with the community-based resources necessary for continued success in an outpatient setting.
