About The Position

The Patient Care Tech reports to the Nurse Manager. Under direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, The PCT performs multi-skilled activities to support a decentralized patient-centered approach to patient care and achieve desired outcomes.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• For Patient Care Technician II: 24 hours/week or greater and one of the following: Associate or Bachelor's degree, 1 year of experience in a healthcare facility, active enrollment in nursing school with completion of Nursing Fundamentals, active enrollment in a healthcare related field, Certified Nursing Assistant or Certified Medical Assistant certification.
• Basic Life Support required within 2 weeks of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform multi-skilled activities to support patient care.
• Assist Registered Nurse in providing patient-centered care.
• Maintain Basic Life Support certification.
• Work collaboratively with healthcare team members.
