Requirements

H.S. Diploma or Equivalent
Compliance with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency (CLIAFE)
Completion of a PCT Training Program (TX CNA, NHA, NAHP, NCCT, accredited community college program or a THR approved program)
EMT - Emergency Medical Technician certification (or Military experience with medical training equivalent to EMT-B)
Completion of nursing fundamentals for nursing students or a foreign nurse degree program
1 year of applicable experience (in lieu of an active and approved certification)
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support certification (prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly)
CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (maintained annually, required within 90 days of hire)
Possesses organizational skills to function in a fast-paced work environment
Possesses positive interpersonal skills
Possesses good verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

Provides patient care and assistance based on the plan of care and patient/family preferences.
Collects and reports patient data, supports admission, transfer, and discharge processes.
Performs technical procedures safely and documents care accurately.
Collaborates with nurses to adapt care for diverse populations and cultural needs.
Maintains a clean, safe environment and proactively meets patient and visitor needs.
Demonstrates teamwork, flexibility, and effective communication across disciplines.
