About The Position
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support Registered Nurses in delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care in an acute care hospital setting. The role includes direct patient care, clinical support tasks, and assistance with basic procedures.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED (Required)
- Completion of Patient Care Technician Program (Required)
- BLS Certification (AHA) (Required)
- EKG Certification (Required)
- Phlebotomy Certification (Required)
- Ability to work scheduled shifts, weekends, and holidays as required
Nice To Haves
- Epic EMR experience preferred (training provided if needed)
Responsibilities
- Assist with patient admission, assessment, and procedures
- Perform phlebotomy (venous and capillary blood collection) using aseptic technique
- Conduct EKGs as directed
- Monitor and document vital signs, intake/output, and daily weights
- Perform glucose monitoring and specimen collection
- Provide hygiene care including bathing, toileting, oral care, and bed making
- Assist with feeding and meal preparation
- Transport patients between hospital departments
- Maintain cleanliness and readiness of patient rooms and equipment
- Respond to call lights and report changes in patient condition to RN
- Ensure accurate patient identification and documentation compliance
