Responsibilities

• Set up, test, and operate hemodialysis machines for patient treatments.
• Obtain and document necessary pre- and post-treatment vital signs and weight for each patient.
• Evaluate vascular access pre-treatment and perform vascular access cannulation.
• Evaluate intradialytic problems and provide intervention as prescribed by physician order or as directed.
• Monitor patients' response to dialysis therapy.
• Evaluate patient prior to termination of venous access and discontinue dialysis treatment according to established procedures.
• Report any significant information and/or change in patient condition directly to supervisor.
• Enter all treatment data into the designated clinical application in an accurate and timely manner.
• Collect, label, appropriately prepare, and store lab samples.
