About The Position

DaVita is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support patients undergoing Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) in an outpatient setting. This role provides hands-on support, education, and care coordination under RN supervision to patients managing kidney failure at home.

Requirements

• Minimum of one (1) year experience in dialysis, required.
• Prior experience as a Patient Care Technician (PCT) in a dialysis setting is preferred, with a strong preference for experience in Peritoneal Dialysis (PD).
• Accredited High School diploma, general education development (“GED”) credential, or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and insurance.
• Comfortable working with medical supplies, blood, and needles.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends/holidays.
• Physical stamina for long shifts and on-your-feet work.

Nice To Haves

• Healthcare experience (CNA, MA, CHT, phlebotomy) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with training patients and caregivers on PD procedures.
• Support clinical team with patient monitoring, documentation, and equipment prep.
• Conduct home supply inventory and assist with arranging deliveries.
• Monitor vital signs and collect lab specimens as needed.
• Maintain equipment and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
• Collaborate with nurses, dietitians, and social workers.
