About The Position

Emory Healthcare is seeking a Patient Care Technician for Emory Johns Creek Hospital. This role involves providing quality patient care and ensuring safety for all patients. The position requires working full-time, 36 hours per week, from 7 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., including every other weekend and rotating holidays. The salary range for this position is $15.75 to $24.96.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of direct patient care experience, successful completion of a nursing assistant training course, or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification through the state of Georgia.
• Completion of the ENMT - Basic Certification, or currently enrolled in a nursing program with completion of 2 clinical rotations.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification in accordance with the American Heart Association required.

Nice To Haves

• Certification by the State of Georgia as a Certified Nursing Assistant or patient care technician program preferred.
• Currently enrolled in an accredited Registered Nurse program and have completed two clinical semesters.

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned patient care and observation duties under the direction of a Registered Nurse and/or LPN.
• Communicate with patients, families, and members of the patient care team.
• Assist in emergency situations as directed by an RN/LPN.
• Operate various clinical equipment and assist with patient procedures.
• Record patient intake and output.
• Transport patients and patient specimens throughout the hospital as needed.
• Comply with standards of care and hospital policies and procedures.
