About The Position

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) in the Emergency Department (ED) at Ascension St. Vincent Kokomo is responsible for performing basic clinical and non-clinical patient care activities under supervision. This part-time position requires working evenings, specifically two 12-hour shifts, every third weekend, and rotating holidays. The role involves aiding with the movement and placement of patients, assisting patients with personal care and activities of daily living, and reporting any changes in patients' conditions to the nursing staff. Additionally, the PCT is responsible for keeping patient rooms clean and orderly and maintaining medical equipment.

Requirements

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Nice To Haves

• Hospital experience preferred.
