Patient Care Technician Part-Time
About The Position
DaVita is hiring a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support patients with end-stage renal disease in an outpatient dialysis clinic. As a PCT, you will provide direct, hands-on care under RN supervision, helping patients through life-sustaining dialysis treatment. This role involves delivering safe, hygienic, and compassionate dialysis care, monitoring patients before, during, and after treatment, setting up and maintaining dialysis equipment, recording vital signs and patient data, and educating patients on treatment and kidney health. The PCT will also collaborate with nurses, dietitians, social workers, and other care team members.
Requirements
- Accredited High School diploma, general education development (“GED”) credential, or equivalent
- Comfortable around blood, needles, and medical equipment
- Physically able to work long shifts on your feet
- Willing to float between local clinics if needed
- Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Nice To Haves
- CNA, MA, CHT, phlebotomy certification, or healthcare experience
- Prior experience as a Patient Care Technician (PCT) in a dialysis setting is preferred, with a strong preference for experience in In-Center Hemodialysis (ICHD)
